I was 8 months pregnant with Jordan and with the help of my awesome family and friends I was moving into this 3 year-old townhouse I had just purchased. I vividly remember (some of) my Moving Crew - my parents, my Aunt Donna, my nephew Darius and my niece Deanna. There may have been others but I vividly remember Donna cleaning my upstairs bathroom, Darius and Deanna cleaning my windows and my Mom cleaning out the refrigerator while my Dad moved boxes in. I'm sure he had help but I don't remember from who...
Tammy and Miya came over to paint and decorate Jordan's nursery in my Rainbow Fish theme and it was absolutely beautiful! Jordan was born a little over a month later on Tuesday, December 11th and just like that I was head over heels in love with her! I had to stay with my parents for several weeks since I had a c-section and couldn't do all the steps in our new home but it was great!! My Mom rushed in to pick Jordan up every time she cried and as a result, I was able to get some much needed sleep - being a Mom was exhausting (and this was only the beginning). Some time in January, I believe, I packed up my baby and I and went back home. I CRIED 😥 the entire way home - who was going to take her when I was exhausted from her every 2-3 hour feedings?! Well we managed and over the years the white walls were painted (purple in the kitchen, mustard in the living room and hot pink in Jordan's bedroom) to create a more homey feel.

We added Diamond to our household - I was afraid of ALL dogs until AFTER we got her 😱 and now we cannot imagine life without her! She brings a lot of noise to our home - she's very talkative and thus fits in very well her LOL!! She tells us when we have visitors, when other dogs are being walked in the neighborhood and when the mailman comes (to name a few).
This was our first house and we created many traditions and memories here. Lots of ups and downs financially, emotionally and literally (with 3 levels). In 2014 I rented out my basement to a stranger who was a pain in my tucus but always paid his rent on time and then eventually my nephew Tevin moved in with us (2017). Over the years, we outgrew this house and it seemed that every corner was filled with meaningful "stuff" that I had a hard time getting rid of...until Miya came along and set me straight!

In order to get my finances straight and prepare ourselves for the next phase, I stepped out on faith and we moved back in with my parents on February 15th. Moving this go round was dreadful and although Jordan, Miya and my Mom were extremely helpful in helping us pack - it was painful. I had awesome friends to help me move - Rodney, Keon, Tim, Anthony, Michelle and Rachel but then the awful "game" with contractors began...I HATE the shucking and jiving they all do! I gave them a deadline and we barely met it but our house went on the market March 1st. Once pictures (thanks Andy) went up I received my first offer in under a week! It was overjoyed and Jordan was disappointed to leave the only house she ever knew.
